Automated guided vehicles (AGVs) are essential equipment for modern logistics and warehouse automation. Their stable operation directly impacts production efficiency. Daily care is crucial to ensure the long-term, efficient operation of AGVs.
Cleaning and maintenance are fundamental tasks. AGVs are prone to accumulating dust, oil, and debris during operation. Regularly wipe the body and sensors with a soft cloth to prevent particles from entering the motor and transmission systems. Particular attention should be paid to cleaning precision components such as lidar and cameras. Gently wipe with an absolute alcohol pad to prevent scratches and corrosion. Metal debris on the ground should also be promptly removed to prevent it from getting stuck in the wheels or rails.
Battery care directly impacts battery life and range. Lithium batteries should be protected from over-discharge. It is recommended that they be charged promptly when the charge level drops below 20%, and the charging environment should be well ventilated and dry. When idle for extended periods, they should be charged every two weeks to maintain battery activity. Lead-acid batteries require regular electrolyte level checks and distilled water replenishment if insufficient.
Mechanical component inspections include tire wear, screw tightness, and transmission system lubrication. Visually inspect tires weekly for cracks or uneven wear, adjusting or replacing them as necessary. Lubricate moving parts like guide rails and chains monthly to reduce friction and loss.
System inspections are also essential. Check fault codes on the onboard display or management software and address abnormal alarms promptly. Regularly calibrate navigation sensors to ensure accurate path recognition. If you notice a decrease in operating speed or positioning deviation, troubleshoot software parameters or hardware issues.
Through these standardized maintenance procedures, you can significantly extend the lifespan of your AGV, reduce failure rates, and ensure the continuity and safety of your automated processes. While routine maintenance may be tedious, it is crucial for efficient operations.
